Working closely with small-scale producers in the area, Gold Mountain Coffee Growers brings together outstanding coffees with full traceability, ensuring every lot can be traced back to the individual farmer behind it.

Coffees from Jinotega have earned global recognition, including multiple Cup of Excellence wins. Yet awards alone don’t guarantee stability. Without consistent pricing, many farmers remain exposed to volatile global markets. Gold Mountain Coffee Growers was founded to change that, by building long-term partnerships that prioritise quality, transparency, and sustainability.

As a social enterprise, Gold Mountain works hands-on with producers at every stage of the process. From wet processing and drying to transport, picking techniques, and financial management, the team is present throughout the harvest. During picking, they are literally on the farms, carefully monitoring cherry ripeness using refractometers and ripeness bracelets to ensure only the best fruit makes it into each lot.

Alongside its own farm, Finca Idealista, Gold Mountain Coffee Growers is deeply invested in the communities it works with. Its projects include free computing classes for girls from coffee-growing communities, medical assistance, microcredit programmes, access to running water in schools, and the provision of educational supplies.
